Teresa Lee, Indianapolis Public Schools, Equitable Supports Coordinator

Teresa Lee serves as the Equitable Supports Coordinator for the middle school team, where she strategically leads the planning, development, and implementation of all culture and climate programming. In this role, she is committed to fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments where every student can thrive. Teresa is deeply passionate about dismantling barriers for marginalized youth and ensuring that all students receive a meaningful, empowering education.

With more than 25 years of experience in education and social services, Teresa has served in a variety of roles, including classroom teacher, academic advisor, behavior specialist, and culture and climate coach across both charter and public school systems. Her expertise also extends into the nonprofit and therapeutic foster care sectors, where she has worked to support children and families. Teresa views her work as a calling, devoting herself to teaching, mentoring, and leadership with the aim of empowering every child she serves.

Teresa holds a Bachelor’s degree in English and Language Arts and a Master’s degree in Folklore with a concentration in Education from Western Kentucky University. She also earned a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Butler University and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Administration and Supervision from Ball State University.

Beyond her professional life, Teresa is a proud mother of two daughters—both of whom share her passion for lifelong learning.
