Iris Dominguez, Acero Charter Schools, Managing Director of Academics

Iris Dominguez is an equity-centered education leader with nearly 20 years of experience spanning the classroom and central office. She currently serves as the Managing Director of Academics at Acero Charter Schools, where she leads curriculum strategy, professional development, and principal support across the network.

Previously, she served as a high school principal, associate principal, and assistant principal in both charter and district settings, always prioritizing instructional quality, culturally responsive practices, and student-centered systems of support.

A proud first-generation college graduate, Iris holds a Master’s in Instructional Leadership and a Bachelor’s in the Teaching of History from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Outside of work, she and her husband are on a mission to visit 50 countries together—making unforgettable memories and collecting stories from around the world.
