Amber Diaz, Instructional Superintendent, Alliance College Ready Public School

Amber Diaz is an experienced school and systems leader who brings deep expertise in instructional leadership, equity-driven strategy, and the development of high-performing school teams. As an Instructional Superintendent at Alliance College-Ready Public Schools, she coaches and supports five high school principals to lead with clarity, strengthen instructional systems, and drive outcomes that reflect ambitious goals and a belief in every student’s potential.

Amber’s leadership is grounded in her own experience as a proud Los Angeles native and first-generation college graduate. She co-founded Alliance Ted K. Tajima High School in 2011, serving as both Assistant Principal and Principal, where she helped build a school culture rooted in high expectations, holistic support, and a commitment to ensuring all students feel seen, valued, and set up for success in college and beyond.

Amber is a strategic, empathetic, and equity-centered leader who partners with others to turn bold visions into meaningful, measurable progress. She helps school leaders connect the dots between daily decisions and long-term goals by leveraging systems thinking, reflective practice, and a relentless focus on instructional quality. Her coaching blends care and candor, ensuring that leaders grow, feel supported, and stay grounded in what’s possible for the students and communities they serve.

Amber holds a B.A. in Psychology and Sociology from the University of California, Irvine, an M.A. in Counseling from the University of Southern California, and an Administrative Credential from Loyola Marymount University.
