Angela Sims is the Executive Director of Professional Learning for Chicago Public Schools. In this role, she leads the development and implementation of district-wide strategic plans for professional learning, ensuring alignment with instructional core priorities and organizational goals. She served as a CPS principal for nearly twelve years, and has also held positions as teacher and coach.

Angela has earned her Master of Art in Educational Leadership and a Master of Art in Teaching from National-Louis University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Spelman College. She is currently is an Ed.D. Candidate in Mid-Career Education Leadership Program at the University of Pennsylvania. She is a National Blue Ribbon School Principal (2020) and a Chicago Principal Fellow (2016).
