Dr. Johnny Vahalik is San Antonio ISD's Assistant Superintendent for College, Career, and Military Readiness. In this role, he collaborates with internal and external partners to improve students' access to education and professional opportunities that lead to outcomes-focused living-wage careers and adult success. Johnny holds a Bachelor's in Business Administration and Accounting and an Ed.D. in Educational Administration and Leadership, as well as 23 years of experience in education and eight years in business management and accounting. He has led the development of various college and career programs for students in grades kindergarten through twelve, including P-TECH, CTE, and STEM magnets, as well as specialized technical programs. He is also in charge of an Adult Education program that serves over 1,000 adults by providing GED, citizenship courses, ESL, college preparation, and industry-based certifications.
