Sharon Wolder is the Deputy Superintendent of Teaching and Learning for the Brockton Public Schools
In this role, Sharon R. Wolder is the new Deputy Superintendent for the Brockton Public Schools. Sharon has worked in the school system since 1995 as a teacher, department head, dean, associate principal, principal, chief officer of student support services and now deputy. As the Associate Principal and Principal of Brockton High School, the largest high school in Massachusetts, Sharon led and helped to lead the school to Level 1 status the highest rating a school could achieve under that rating system. During her tenure as the Chief Officer of Student Support Services, Sharon supported and evaluated thirteen departments, including Special Education, Multilingual Education, Health and Wellness, Nursing, and the Arts Accelerated Learning. In her current role, Sharon is responsible for leading and supporting the district's Proficiency Commitment.
Sharon holds a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Education Leadership from Bridgewater State College, an M.Ed. in History and Secondary Education from Boston College and a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Iowa.
