Jalynn Jones is the Regional Superintendent of Democracy Prep Louisiana and Principal of Democracy Prep Baton Rouge

In this role, Jalynn is an experienced educator with a strong track record of fostering a child-centered curriculum. She is an exceptional communicator, which allows her to establish cooperative, meaningful relationships with students, staff, and parents. Jalynn began her teaching career as a Pre-Kindergarten teacher in the East Baton Rouge Parish School System in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Jalynn served in the classroom for nine (9) years, after which she served as a K-12 curriculum content specialist. In this role, she served as a facilitator of professional learning, middle school instructional specialist, and project director. Jalynn has held several positions in education administration, including, Director of Data, Accountability & Assessment at New Beginnings Schools (New Orleans, LA), Assistant Principal Grades 6-12 at Southern University Laboratory School (Baton Rouge, LA), and Account Executive at Scholastic Education. She currently serves as Regional Superintendent of Democracy Prep Louisiana and Principal of Democracy Prep Baton Rouge.

Jalynn holds a Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Curriculum from Southern University, and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Reading from Louisiana State University-Shreveport.
