Emmanuel George is the Regional Superintendent, New York Schools for Democracy Prep Public Schools

In this role, Emmanuel oversees the region of New York Schools for Democracy Prep public schools. Prior to joining the Fellowship, Emmanuel served as the Founding Principal of Democracy Prep Harlem, Democracy Prep's second middle school, founding Assistant Superintendent of Middle Schools for Democracy Prep Public Schools, Executive Director of Bronx Prep Middle and High School's turnaround, and Vice President of School Solutions among other positions. Emmanuel also was a classroom teacher for eleven years before stepping into school leadership.

Emmanuel holds a B.A. in Elementary Education from Livingstone College where he was a part of the Center for Teaching Excellence Scholarship Program. He received his Master's in Educational Leadership from The College of New Rochelle as a part of the CITE Program.
