Charlotte Nugent is the High-Impact Tutoring Program Manager Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE)

In this role, Charlotte oversees strategy and implementation for DC’s $40 million investment in high-impact tutoring. Prior to working at OSSE, Charlotte worked in the private sector as a management consultant at Deloitte, supporting federal government agencies to implement large-scale technology, communications, and change management initiatives, as well as on the fundraising team at New Leaders. Charlotte has also been engaged in her community, serving her DC neighborhood for four years as an elected Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner as well as serving on the board of a DC tutoring nonprofit. Charlotte began her career as a classroom teacher in the Navajo Nation in New Mexico with Teach For America.

Charlotte holds a bachelor's degree of arts in English and International studies from Kenyon college. She also has a master in Public Policy and administration from George Washington University.
