Ryan Keating is the Director of Social Studies for the Rochester City School District in New York.

In this role, he oversees curriculum, instruction, assessment, professional learning, and staffing for the RCSD’s social studies department. Prior to joining the Rochester City School District in late 2020, Ryan served as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction for the Alexander Central School District, where he was responsible for overseeing the district's Pre-K - AP curriculum, instruction, assessment, professional development, response to intervention, and new teacher mentoring for all teachers. While at Alexander, he also served as a teacher on assignment, and a high school social studies teacher.

Ryan holds a certificate of advanced study from The State University of New York College at Brockport, a M.Ed from the University at Buffalo, and a B.A. from The State University of New York College at Fredonia.
