Natalie Hutto is the Director of Title I at Tulsa Public Schools.
In her tenure as the Director of Title I, Natalie has moved the office of Title I from a compliance oriented team to an indispensable support for strategic alignment and school level support. She currently manages a team of School Strategy Partners who have become a pivotal partner for district Instructional Leadership Directors and School Leaders in strategic school planning and results driven continuous improvement. She also supports district leaders with strategically planning a yearly federal programs budget of approximately $27 million. Natalie navigates the requirements and intent of several federal grants including Title I, Title I neglected and delinquent, Title II, Title IV, and school improvement funds.
Natalie employs her experience in all levels of the organization as well as her strong academic and pedagogy background to influence and enrich the district and school level strategic plans and budgets. It is her belief that all federal funded initiatives should be grounded in research and equity and focused on continuous improvement. In her previous role she served as the Academic Coordinator for Elementary Literacy which supported instructional coaches and school teams with improving the literacy outcomes of students. Natalie is very proud of the time she spent teaching in schools both as a classroom teacher in regular and alternative programs as well as a Reading Specialist.
Natalie holds an M.Ed in Literacy and School Administration from Northeastern State University, along with a B.A. in education from Northeastern State University. Natalie has also achieved National Board Certification in Teaching for English Language Arts/Early Adolescence.
