Dr. Michelle Jackson is the Executive Director of Teaching and Learning for Indianapolis Public Schools.
In this role, Michelle plans, administers, and provides leadership and coordination of curricular and instructional programs across all organizational levels Prek-12. Prior to the Fellowship, Michelle was Principal of Meredith Nicholson Elementary where she served as the chief administrator of the school in developing and implementing policies, programs, curriculum activities and budgets in a manner that promotes the educational development of each student and the professional development of each staff member. Prior to that, she was the Assistant Principal for Shortridge High School: An IB World School, a Spanish teacher for Speedway High School, an online Spanish instructor for Indiana Online and an adjunct professor for Vincennes University.
Dr. Jackson has a Ph.D in Education with a Specialization in Leadership in Educational Administration from Capella University, a M.A.T. in Teaching Spanish from Indiana University Purdue University, and a B.A. in Spanish from Butler University.
