Current Role: Vice President Program Design, Teach For America

Fellowship Role: Instructional Superintendent for DC Public Schools

 

JuDonn serves as Vice President of Program Design at Teach For America.

Previously JuDonn served as Instructional Superintendent and as the Deputy Chief of Talent Development for DC Public Schools. In this role, he oversaw the recruitment, selection and development of teachers and school leaders across the district. JuDonn and his team are also responsible for the buildout of and programming within the district’s principal pipeline. Previously, JuDonn served as a Director of Learning for Leadership Development where he coordinated induction programming for and developed the capacity of first-year principals. Before joining DCPS, JuDonn was the proud principal of El Centro de Estudiantes, a high-school designed to serve the holistic needs of youth who were disengaged from and out-of-school. He spent 10 years there in a variety of roles including Special Education Teacher, Special Education Coordinator, Instructional Coach and Principal.

JuDonn holds a Ph.D. in Urban Education from Temple University, a Master’s in Special Education from George Mason University, and a B.A. in Religion from The George Washington University.
