Patrick H. Jones II is Senior Vice President of Leadership and Equity at The Mind Trust.
Previously, he was the Senior Director of School Incubation at The Mind Trust and led the fellowships and pathways for supporting the launch of new high-quality schools in Indianapolis. He directly supported school leaders who had received The Mind Trust’s Innovation School Fellowship, Charter School Fellowship, Educator Empowerment Awards, and Charter School Design Challenge awards.
Previously, Patrick served as Director of Secondary Schools for Tindley Accelerated Schools, where he coached principals and oversaw the development of instructional systems at the Indianapolis-based network of six charter schools. All of the schools he managed in 2018 earned an A letter grade, and the high school earned Indiana's highest recognition as a 4-Star school. In 2011, Jones led the founding of Tindley Preparatory Academy as its first principal. Under his leadership, the school earned four consecutive A grades on the Indiana Department of Education’s school accountability framework. Before becoming a principal, Jones taught at Charles A. Tindley Accelerated School, where he led the improvement of his 8th grade students’ Algebra End-of-Course Assessment pass rate from 45% to 91% proficiency.
Jones holds a B.A. in Computer Science from Fisk University and an M.A. in Curriculum from California State Dominguez Hills.
