Current Role: Director, Participant & Alumni Impact - Asia Pacific Region, Teach For All

Fellowship Role: Special Assistant to the Superintendent, Newark Public Schools

Tritia is the Director of Participant & Alumni Impact - Asia Pacific Region for Teach For All.

During the Fellowship, Tritia was the Special Assistant to the Superintendent for Newark Public Schools. In this role, she set and supported district priorities with the Superintendent’s Senior Leadership Team. Prior to this, she worked at the NYC Department of Education's District 79-Alternative Schools & Programs, where she helped launched GED 2014, a citywide effort to improve policies related to the GED. Previously, she developed and led the education program for Transitional Age Youth (TAY) Academy in California, an organization that provides wraparound services for 18-25-year-olds who are emancipated from the foster care and juvenile justice system. Tritia began her career with Teach For America, through which she taught special education in Houston, TX, and later became a Program Director to coach and develop new teachers.

Tritia has a B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles, was a semi-finalist for the TFA Sue Lehmann Award for Excellence in Teaching, and is a founding member of ROADS Charter School.
