Fellowship Role: Instructional Leadership Director, Tulsa Public Schools

Dr. Kettisha Jones currently serves as Lead Principal Coach at Ensemble Learning.

During the Fellowship, Kettisha was an Instructional Leadership Director (ILD) for Tulsa Public Schools in Oklahoma. She was responsible for supervising, supporting, and developing 11 elementary principals to set and attain high levels of student achievement. Previously, Kettisha served as an educator for the Houston Independent School District for 17 years. She was the principal of Highland Heights Elementary School for seven years and served as a turnaround principal under the Apollo 20 Program. Under her leadership, the school earned an Exemplary or Recognized rating for four years from the Texas Education Agency. Previously, Kettisha was an Assistant Principal at Reagan High School, where she led the Health Science Academy. She gained middle school experience as a full-time Principal Intern at Patrick Henry Middle School after beginning her career as a first grade teacher at Lyons Elementary School.

Kettisha holds a B.A. in English from Spelman College and an M.S. in Administration and Supervision from the University of Houston. She successfully completed a Superintendent Certification Program at Sam Houston State University and plans to continue her studies towards earning a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership.
