Janice Harris currently serves as a Chief Schools Officer with Attuned Education Partners.
During the Fellowship, she served as an Instructional Superintendent for Washington, D.C., Public Schools (DCPS). Prior to the Fellowship, Janice served as principal of Haddam Elementary School in Higganum, CT, for 11 years. As a principal, she invested her staff in the community they served, realized 100% staff participation on school-wide committees, and introduced and implemented SMART goals for all her teachers. Janice simultaneously served as an Adjunct Professor at Sacred Heart University, where she taught aspiring administrators how to analyze instruction and give teachers effective feedback.
Janice holds a B.A. in Spanish and Latin American Studies from Dartmouth College, an M.S. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from College of New Rochelle, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.
