Brett Shiel currently serves as Director of Coaching and Convening.
During the Fellowship, Brett served as the Executive Director of Human Capital for Camden Public Schools. Prior the Fellowship, Brett was the Deputy for Teacher Effectiveness for the School District of Philadelphia. Prior to this role, Brett served as a Managing Director and Consultant with Insight Education Group and consulted to chiefs and superintendents in various cities on teacher effectiveness reforms and implementing systems-wide change. Prior to this role, Brett held various leadership positions at Freire Charter School (Philadelphia), where he also co-directed a short film on Freire that was screened in numerous cities and universities.
