Fellowship Role: Deputy Executive Director, Teacher Evaluation, New York City Public Schools

Andie Corso is currently the Senior Executive Director - Special Education and Leadership Development at the New York City Public Schools

During the Fellowship, Andie served as the Deputy Executive Director of Teacher Evaluation for the New York City Department of Education (NYC DOE), later becoming the Deputy Executive Director of Early Childhood Teaching and Learning for the NYC DOE. Prior to these roles, Andie served as Senior Director for the Office of Teacher Effectiveness at the NYC DOE, where she led a team of over 70 Directors and Talent Coaches who work directly with school leaders and network staff to implement the new teacher evaluation and development model in all New York City schools. Preceding Andie’s work with the NYC DOE, she served as Deputy Director for the Office of Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson and as the Director of Student Achievement at Sacramento High School. Andie was a finalist for the Chancellor’s Trailblazer Award from the NYC DOE in 2013 and was awarded the Ellen S. Raphael Award at the Harvard Kennedy School.

Andie holds a B.S. in Chemistry and B.A. in Latin from Miami University and an M.P.P. from the Harvard Kennedy School.
