Shraddha Nunziata, Savannah-Chatham County Public School System, Senior Director of Special Projects & Initiatives

Shraddha Nunziata serves as the Senior Director of Special Projects and Initiatives at Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools. In this role, Shraddha is a member of the Deputy Superintendent's Strategy, Innovation, and Performance team and leads key initiatives to advance the school district's strategic plan. Leveraging strengths in change management, relational leadership, and influencing & motivating, she monitors district-wide performance, leads innovative pilots, and enhances leader capacity through professional development. She is a proud product of the Savannah-Chatham County Public School system and honored to return to her hometown to serve the community that educated her.

Prior to working in Savannah, Shraddha served as the Director of Experiential Learning at Uncommon Schools, where she launched "High School 2.0," an innovative program that blended project based learning, arts & enrichment, and work based learning for Uncommon's over three thousand high schoolers. Through these life-changing opportunities, students explored their passions and entered college with a greater sense of purpose and determination. Many students have received financial support for college due to their successes in drumline, robotics, and digital media. At Uncommon, Shraddha developed a system-wide instructional framework for project based learning and earned a certificate in project based learning from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education.

Shraddha started her career as a Teach for America (05 NYC) teacher at CIS 303 in the South Bronx, where she taught middle school science for seven years. She also worked at Citizen Schools as both a Campus Director and Director of Experiential Learning, where she refined the instructional framework to be more aligned with best practices in project based learning. Shraddha earned her Bachelors degree from Emory University (05) in Political Science and her Masters degree in Teaching from Pace University (07). She is a proud mom of two boys, who keep her very busy with sports, music, and Cub Scouts.
