Keith Thomas, Jr., Paramount Schools of Excellence, Senior Vice President of Academics

Keith is the Senior Vice President of Academics at Paramount Schools of Excellence, where he leads the academic vision and strategy across a network of high-performing schools. In this role, he manages the central office academic team and oversees instructional practice across all campuses, ensuring rigorous, equity-centered teaching and learning. His leadership has been instrumental in elevating student achievement, most notably contributing to one school site earning the prestigious National Blue Ribbon School award for academic excellence.

With a deep commitment to educator development, Keith provides ongoing coaching and professional development to school leaders and teachers, fostering a culture of continuous growth. He also leads the network’s Master Teacher Career Pathway cohort, designed to retain and elevate the most effective educators while amplifying their impact across the district. Known for creating collaborative environments where data-informed decisions drive instruction, Keith plays a critical role in maintaining high standards for teaching and learning.

Before stepping into executive leadership, Keith built a strong foundation in education as a middle school mathematics teacher and later as a district-level mathematics academic coordinator. This experience grounds their approach in both classroom practice and systems-level strategy. Keith holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Florida A&M University and a master’s degree in Teaching from Marian University, a combination that uniquely positions them to bring both analytical rigor and instructional insight to their work.
