Jennifer Troy, Aurora Public Schools, Chief Academic Officer

Jennifer Troy is currently the Chief Academic Officer of Aurora Public Schools. In this role, she leads to Division of Teaching and Learning in to develop and implement to instructional and programmatic priorities aligned to the district strategic plan in collaboration with integral teams across Aurora Public Schools. Jen also organizes and supervises multiple departments including Curriculum and Instruction, College and Career Success, Advanced Academics, CTE, Magnet Programming, Professional Learning, Exceptional Student Services, and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education, and Data, Assessment and Research.

Jen previously served as Associate Chief of Schools in Denver Public Schools. She led the implementation of a new principal supervision structure moving away from schools clustered by region to schools clustered by ed level and led the team of principal supervisors to coach leaders with a focus on instruction and student outcomes, and ultimately resulted in three consecutive years of increased graduation rates across the district. Jen has proudly served students in both Denver and the Bronx.

Jen holds a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Relay Graduate School of Education in New York City, a Master's Degree in Urban Education from Mercy College in the Bronx, NY, and a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder in International Affairs.
