Ashley Kearney, DC Public Schools, Systems Integration Manager

Ashley Kearney is currently the Systems Integration Manager at DC Public Schools. In this role, she integrates safety and belonging practices into key priorities and systems districtwide.

Ashley also leads the development and review of the Learning and Development Sciences Division’s key tools and resources used for districtwide implementation of whole child transformation efforts— collaborating with Deputy Chiefs of cross office division teams to track progress, support decision making and revision of aligned high priority tools and resources, and resolve complex obstacles on strategy and delivery.

Ashley previously served as an expert educator, teacher effectiveness coach, and Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellow in the House of Representatives. For her consistent leadership and contributions to improved student and educator outcomes, she was recognized as both a 2019 Presidential Awardee for Excellence in Mathematics Teaching and the 2020 DCPS Teacher of the Year.

Ashley is also the President of the DC State Organization of Delta Kappa Gamma, a local chapter of an international society promoting professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education, and a local elected official where she currently chairs the Health, Human Services, and Education Committee.

Ashley holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tampa and a Master’s Degree in Education from Johns Hopkins University.
