Anna Rost Watson, Teach For America, Chief Operating Officer, Indianapolis

Anna Rost Watson serves as the Chief Operating Officer for Teach For America - Indianapolis. In this role, she identifies, nurtures and develops resources to enable Teach For America's mission of doubling student academic outcomes in Center Township. Her career-long work has been creating the conditions through which bold, visionary change is resourced, activated and executed.

Anna is a relationship-driven strategist who has led organizations, institutions and schools to identify the most critical strategic initiatives and develop the structures to roll them out successfully. She is innovative in her approach and brings a flexibility to relationships and problem-solving. In her current role she is charged with fundraising and board management, raising more than $20M in public and private funds since 2020. Additionally, she oversees financial management and budgeting, strategy, and operations for the Indiana region of Teach For America.

In her previous role, Anna led honors programming at community colleges across the United States, growing local connections between a rigorous Associates degree and Baccalaureate programming within a network of partner schools. She grew Ivy Tech Community College's honors program across the state of Indiana before launching and growing the work in Michigan and Washington State.

Anna is a former high school teacher and holds a Masters of Public Affairs from Indiana University - Indianapolis and a Bachelor's from the University of Illinois - Urbana Champaign.
