Shalon Bond is the Executive Director of Instruction and Curriculum for the Dallas Independent School District.

Shalon Bond is the Executive Director of Instruction and Curriculum for the Dallas Independent School District. In this role, she creates, implements, maintains, and enhances excellence, scholarship, creativity, and achievement for over 142,000 students. Before the Fellowship, Shalon served as the Director of Social Studies, responsible for planning and leading their comprehensive approach to K12 curriculum, instruction, and assessments. During her tenure, Shalon expanded the work of the Social Studies department by creating high-quality aligned curricular and assessment resources, establishing two Ethnic Studies courses in partnership with the Racial Ethnic Office, and ensuring co-curricular programs including Mock Trial, National History Day, and Model United Nations thrived to influence student academic excellence.

Shalon holds a B.A. from Texas A&M University-Commerce, an M.A. in Education from Travecca University and a Superintendency Certification from the University of Texas at Arlington.
