Sandra Galbato Kunsman is the Executive Director of ELA and Reading at City School District.

Sandra Galbato Kunsman is an enthusiastic educator that proudly served in the Rochester City School district for 26 years. In her current role, Galbato Kunsman is committed to empowering all children and teachers to achieve their fullest potential. She began her career in the RCSD in 1995, as a substitute teacher and became a classroom teacher at Chester Dewey Community School, No. 14, and World of Inquiry School No. 58. Her classroom experience ranges from Pre-K to 6th Grade. She continued to serve students at World of Inquiry in various leadership roles, including Intervention Specialist and ELA Instructional Coach (K-10), new teacher Mentor, and Acting Assistant Principal. As a result of her husband’s job relocation, Sandra Galbato Kunsman spent two years in the New Jersey area as an Adjunct Professor at Mercer County Community College and Visiting Professor at The College of New Jersey. In 2013, she became the Director of Instructional Coaches under the Office of Professional Learning. In 2017 she served as an Assistant Principal at Anna Murray-Douglass Academy, School No. 12.

Sandra holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from St. John Fisher College, a Master’s Degree in Reading Education K-12 at SUNY Brockport, and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration at St. John Fisher College.
