Joseph Ellis is the Senior Manager of Professional and Leadership Development at the National Charter Collaborative (NCC) and Consultant working with LEAP Educational Consulting and Newark Public Schools. Prior to this work, Joe served as an Instructional Leadership Coach at Achievement First where he coached, developed and built sustainable systems for a national portfolio of leaders in the Midwest and Northeast. Before joining Achievement First, Joe worked as a Director of Middle School Math at BRICK Education Network in his hometown city of Newark, NJ. Joe has experience in non-profit, charter, public and non-traditional education spaces including Uncommon Schools and Urban League of Essex County. Joe holds a Masters in Public Administration (Budgeting + Financial Management) from Rutgers University, a B.A. in Sociology from William Paterson University.
