Daniel Calderón serves as Instructional Leadership Executive Director at Highline Public Schools in Burien, just south of Seattle, WA. In this role, he supervises nine elementary schools and provides personalized instructional leadership coaching to school leaders. Previously, Daniel was the principal of Cascade Middle School in Highline Public Schools. In alignment with Highline’s goal of graduating students to be bilingual and biliterate, Daniel grew the Spanish and Vietnamese dual language programs at Cascade over the past five years to include 60% of 6th graders. Prior to Highline, Daniel served as administrator-in-residence and assistant principal with Green Dot Public Schools in California and Washington.

Daniel holds an M.A. in Education with a focus on educational policy and a principal certificate from the University of Washington and a B.A. in International Studies from Macalester College.
