Rhonda Morien is the Chief of Innovation and Reform for the Rochester City School District.
In this role, Rhonda over sees Network 12 schools and the Office of Adult and Career Educational Services. She is responsible for leading underperforming schools out of Receivership, developing school leadership, improving academic performance, monitoring school data, and implementing high leverage turnaround strategies. She is responsible for leading professional development on leadership, instruction, innovation and reform for school leadership teams. Rhonda serves on the Action for a Better Community Board with the mission of creating self-sufficiency opportunities for low-income individuals and families. Rhonda has spent 22 years in the Rochester City School District as a Teacher, Instructional Coach, Assistant Principal and Principal. During her Tenure as a Principal, Rhonda was awarded The Genesee Valley Regional Principal of the Year Award, The Rochester City School District School Improvement Award, the National Negro League Award, and the Center for Youth Community Partnership Award.
Rhonda holds an M.A in Elementary Education from the State University College at Brockport, as well as, a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Administration. She has also received advanced certification in the Superintendent Development Program from the State University College at Oswego.
