Damon Hoyle is the Senior Operations Project Manager at the Texas Education Agency
Damon Hoyle is a life-long education advocate who has spent his entire career dedicated to
improving the lives of the next generations. Damon is a current Senior Operations Project
Manager at the Texas Education Agency (TEA), overseeing various high-level statewide
projects, grants, and initiatives. Before his role at TEA, he served as Chief Operating Officer for
ProUnitas Inc., an organization disrupting how school systems deliver student support services
through the innovative platform, PurpleSENSE. He spent nine years at KIPP Texas Public
Schools, serving as Dean of Operations, Dean of Instruction, classroom teacher, and head track
& field coach. In addition, he has participated in several leadership programs, including
Education Pioneers COVID Response Fellowship, Leadership ISD, Houston Black Leadership
Institute, and KIPP School Leadership Program. He was most recently accepted as a 2022
Cambiar Catalyst Education Fellow. Damon is also a 2007 Teach For America alumnus and a
proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. Damon is also board secretary for the Texas
Black Expo and an advisory board member for The Village Foundation. He enjoys his love for
acting in his spare time, so much so that in 2021 he was nominated for Best Actor in a short film
at the International Christian Film Festival. Damon has a B.A. in African-American & African
Studies from the University of Virginia, and an M.A. in School Administration from Columbia
University, Teachers College.
