Fellowship Role: Executive Director of the Michigan Region of Distinctive Schools

Cassie Williams is the Executive Director of the Michigan Region of Distinctive Schools.

She is an alumnus of First Cohort of the Surge Institute,The New Leaders Aspiring Principals Program, and Education Pioneers. She earned a Master’s degree in Reading Education from Wayne State University and a Master’s degree in Education Leadership from National Louis University. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary English Education from Wayne State University. Cassie began her career as a high school English Teacher in her hometown of Detroit Michigan, she has worked as a Lead Teacher, Resident Principal, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, Senior Director of Academics and she founded Distinctive School's first Michigan Campus Distinctive College Prep in 2017 about a mile away from the elementary school where she attended kindergarten.
