Jessica Ramos currently serves as Assistant Superintendent for the School District of Philadelphia.
In this role, she oversees Learning Network Ten, a set of fourteen schools in South and Southwest Philadelphia. Jessica is responsible for coaching and developing her principals as well as evaluating them. Prior to this role, Jessica was the principal of a K-8 Elementary School in the Frankford section of Philadelphia. As a building leader, Jessica was able to grow the school, moving out of intervene status and into model status in the area of progress towards ELA and Mathematics student proficiency rates, as measured by the Pennsylvania State Assessment. Previously, Jessica was a middle years English teacher for eight years at a Title I school in South Philadelphia.
Jessica holds an M.S. in Urban Education from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Temple University. She also earned her Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.
