Laney Shaler is the Senior Advisor at Denver Public Schools. In this role, she oversees strategic management and implementation of the organization’s Strategic Roadmap and works in close partnership with the Deputy Superintendent. Laney thas been a proud member of Denver Public Schools (DPS) for more than thirteen years. Laney’s prior experience includes leading district-wide efforts to establish and expand the continuum of preservice through early career teacher support, so that teachers can get better faster and stay longer, and increasing levels of support to strengthen Denver’s homegrown teacher workforce – from student to paraprofessional to teacher.


Laney holds an M.P.P. from the University of Chicago, an M.A. in Educational Leadership from The Broad Center, and a B.A. from Lake Forest College.
