Eva Maria Regueira is the District Director for Miami-Dade County Public Schools.
Eva Maria Regueira is District Director for Miami-Dade County Public Schools, the third largest and among the most diverse school districts in the nation. In her previous role, she helps secure and oversee roughly $500,000,000 per year in supplemental funding for M-DCPS; with federal COVID-19 relief funds, this figure rose to about $1.4B annually. Regueira has also served as Executive Director in Intergovernmental Affairs, representing the interests of the School Board at the federal, state, and local levels, including 34 local municipalities within Miami-Dade County. During her more than 16 years at M-DCPS which began in the classroom, Regueira has also served as a Curriculum Support Specialist, overseeing the AVID Program which was part of school turnaround efforts at 24 elementary, middle, and high school sites districtwide.
Eva holds an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University, an M.A. in Spanish Literature from the University of Florida and a B.A. in Spanish with minors in Business Administration and Pathways to Teaching K-12 Foreign Languages and English Language Learners from the University of Florida.
