Kimberly Washington is the Executive Director of Program Implementation for New Leaders

In this role, Kimberly is supporting partnerships in Louisville, KY, and Baltimore, MD. Prior to New Leaders, she worked in public schools for eight years as a high school mathematics teacher and six years as a middle school principal. Kimberly led two turnaround middle schools in Baltimore, MD. before serving as Principal of Hyattsville Middle School in Prince George’s County, MD. After her first year, the school experienced tremendous success including 30.7% growth for 8th-grade Mathematics, 36.5% growth in grade 8 mathematics for students who received free or reduced meals, 11.1% growth in 7th-grade Reading, 26.1% growth for 7th-grade students with Limited English Proficiency, and 14.1% growth for 7th and 8th-grade Hispanic students in Reading.

Kimberly holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Liberty University, an M.A. in Educational Leadership from George Washington University, and a B.S. in Mathematics Education from Norfolk State University.
