Courtney Vickers is the Vice President, Diverse Learners at Alliance College-Ready Public Schools,
In this role, Courtney is passionate about ensuring greater access to grade-appropriate materials is an urgent priority for all students, no matter what their race, income level, or current designation.
Previous to this role she served as the Director of Special Education at Alliance. She started her educational career as a Paraprofessional working 1:1 with a pre-verbal student with autism; she has worked as a teacher, school leader, and network leader along the way. She currently sits on the Board of Directors for City Charter Schools and California Creative Learning Academy, as well as the co-chair for the Program Development Grant Committee via Charter Operated Programs (COP). Courtney founded YEAH! 20 years ago, alongside two other feminist leaders, and then went to sit on the Board of Directors until she retired in 2018 when her own son began attending the programming.
She is a first generation college graduate; with an undergrad in English and a Masters in Special Education
