Tera Carr currently serves as an Assistant Superintendent for Uncommon Schools.
Tera began the Fellowship as the Director of Teacher Development and Pathways for Tulsa Public Schools. Previously, Tera served as principal of Hamilton Elementary School for Tulsa Public Schools, where students’ academic growth increased by 42%. During her tenure as principal, Tera earned a place in the Leverage Leadership Institute, where she earned the distinction of "Platinum" in 2018 and became an approved Leverage Leadership Instructor, demonstrating double-digit gains for student achievement year after year. Tera has also served Tulsa Public Schools' students as an assistant principal, a high school math teacher, and a special education teacher. Prior to joining Tulsa Public Schools, she taught Pre-K in Indianapolis and 1st and 2nd grades in Harbin, China.
Tera holds an M.Ed. in School Administration, Curriculum, and Supervision from the University of Oklahoma and a B.A. in International Business from Ball State University.
